In 1997, the Charleston Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America established the Future Military Officers Scholarship program. This program provides an annual $1000 scholarship grant to a college-bound (or in-college) student whose home is in the 294_ _ zip code area. Applicants must be (or plan to be) enrolled in an R.O.T.C. program or other military officer candidate program, and intend to become a military officer.
